How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Gadsly LLC, doing business as Proper Strides ("Proper Strides," "we," "us," or "our"), provides a horse ownership and riding companion application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have regarding your information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you sign in with a third-party service (for example, Apple or Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider, as permitted by your settings on that service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you choose to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) or otherwise provide us with your mobile phone number, Proper Strides may send you SMS text messages for the following purposes:
By providing your mobile phone number and enabling SMS 2FA or similar features, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from Proper Strides at the number you provided. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Proper Strides; however, SMS-based 2FA requires a valid mobile number.
Message frequency varies and depends on your activity. You will typically receive an SMS message only when you attempt to sign in, change sensitive account settings, or when we detect a security event on your account.
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. Proper Strides does not charge for SMS messages we send, but your wireless carrier's standard rates will apply to any messages sent to or received from Proper Strides.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We are not responsible for delays in the receipt of any SMS messages, as delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is outside of our control.
Your mobile phone number is treated as confidential information. We use it only for the purposes described above. Phone numbers and consent information collected for SMS messaging are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
We share information only in the limited circumstances described below. We do not sell your personal information.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security reasons. Horse records you have shared with collaborators may remain accessible to those collaborators according to the access they were granted.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security review. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential, and we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws, which may include the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@properstrides.com.
If you are located in these regions, the legal bases on which we process your personal information include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and your consent. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Proper Strides is based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure your information receives appropriate protection regardless of where it is processed.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it. Users between 13 and the age of majority in their jurisdiction should use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure usage, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
